Story Book Wall
Local schoolchildren of Alamogordo area drew their favorite story books, and the drawings were then transferred to the ceramic tiles, May 1963.

Pretty neat isn't it?

As we have a small German Air Force unit attached to Holloman Air Force base, the library makes sure to have books in German for the soldiers children and families.

As we are close to the border and have a large Spanish speaking population our library has many books in Spanish too!

German book section- the other one was the children's books in German

The library has much for the youth to do, including a Teen Cafe held at least once a month

The public library in Alamogordo is truly a wonderful place to spend time.  The staff are friendly and very willing to assist anyone.  The library also has many volumes in large print, books on tape and even braille to accommodate our visually impaired citizens as well as the students at the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
